La periodista Yuri Galv\u00e1n Quesada, del peri\u00f3dico Provincia en Michoac\u00e1n, denunci\u00f3 haber sido arrestada ilegalmente<\/a> mientras investigaba la corrupci\u00f3n en un centro de salud de Morelia, la capital de este estado mexicano.<\/p>\n

Galv\u00e1n dijo que indagaba sobre el cobro de servicios del Seguro Popular, que por ley deben ser gratuitos, en el Centro de Salud \u201cDr. Juan Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez Ure\u00f1a\u201d, cuando el director del lugar llam\u00f3 a la patrulla y orden\u00f3 que la trasladaran a Barandillas (centro de detenci\u00f3n municipal).<\/p>\n

La periodista present\u00f3 el viernes 5 de agosto su queja ante la Comisi\u00f3n Estatal de Derechos Humanos (CEDH) por intimidaci\u00f3n, hostigamiento, detenci\u00f3n y retenci\u00f3n ilegal<\/a>, as\u00ed como empleo arbitrario de la fuerza p\u00fablica, abuso de poder y violaci\u00f3n a la libertad de expresi\u00f3n en contra de Gildardo Oropeza, director de este centro m[edico,de acuerdo con el peri\u00f3dico El Sol de Morelia.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la versi\u00f3n de la periodista, Galv\u00e1n intent\u00f3 darle derecho de r\u00e9plica al funcionario responsable del centro m\u00e9dico quien reaccion\u00f3 con violencia. \u201cAl sentirse descubierto, me quiso humillar y mand\u00f3 llamar a una patrulla\u201d, declar\u00f3 a los medios locales.<\/p>\n

Michoac\u00e1n ocupa el tercer lugar nacional en agravios contra periodistas<\/a> pues en 2010 se presentaron 10 quejas de este tipo, seg\u00fan datos de la Comisi\u00f3n Estatal de Derechos Humanos.<\/p>\n
