{"id":24590,"date":"2011-11-16T21:46:13","date_gmt":"2011-11-17T02:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/?p=24590"},"modified":"2021-07-29T21:47:09","modified_gmt":"2021-07-30T02:47:09","slug":"despenalizar-difamacion-en-ecuador-pide-human-rights-watch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/es\/articles\/despenalizar-difamacion-en-ecuador-pide-human-rights-watch\/","title":{"rendered":"Despenalizar difamaci\u00f3n en Ecuador pide Human Rights Watch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La organizaci\u00f3n\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrw.org\/es\/news\/2011\/11\/14\/ecuador-debe-despenalizar-la-difamaci-n\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Human Rights Watch pidi\u00f3 al gobierno de Ecuador que derogue los delitos de desacato y de difamaci\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0de funcionarios p\u00fablicos, inform\u00f3 el organismo defensor de derechos humanos con sede en Nueva York.<\/p>\n<p>El lunes 14 de noviembre, Human Rights Watch y el\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.palermo.edu\/cele\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centro de Estudios en Libertad de Expresi\u00f3n y Acceso a la Informaci\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0de la Universidad de Palermo en Argentina presentaron un memorial en calidad de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amicus_curiae\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amicus curiae<\/a>\u00a0(opini\u00f3n legal de terceros) ante la Corte Constitucional de Ecuador, donde se afirma que el art\u00edculo 230 del C\u00f3digo Penal ecuatoriano sobre\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrw.org\/node\/102969\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">el desacato vulnera las obligaciones jur\u00eddicas internacionales de derechos humanos<\/a>\u00a0asumidas por Ecuador.<\/p>\n<p>El\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrw.org\/node\/102969\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amicus curiae<\/a>\u00a0respalda la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eltiempo.com.ec\/noticias-cuenca\/68315-piden-a-corte-constitucional-derogar-leyes-penales-por-difamacia-n\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">demanda de inconstitucionalidad para despenalizar el art\u00edculo 230<\/a>\u00a0que present\u00f3 la organizaci\u00f3n\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundamedios.org\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fundamedios<\/a>\u00a0ante la Corte Constitucional de Ecuador el 25 de mayo de 2011.
