{"id":26096,"date":"2012-01-24T15:51:16","date_gmt":"2012-01-24T20:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/?p=26096"},"modified":"2021-08-16T15:52:34","modified_gmt":"2021-08-16T20:52:34","slug":"fallo-final-contra-diario-el-universo-en-ecuador-sigue-en-suspenso-por-enfermedad-de-un-juez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/es\/articles\/fallo-final-contra-diario-el-universo-en-ecuador-sigue-en-suspenso-por-enfermedad-de-un-juez\/","title":{"rendered":"Fallo final contra diario El Universo en Ecuador sigue en suspenso por enfermedad de un juez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El desenlace del\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/correa-pide-80-millones-de-dolares-de-indemnizacion-diario-de-ecuador-y-3-anos-de-carcel-para-s\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">juicio del presidente Rafael Correa contra el diario El Universo en Ecuador<\/a>\u00a0sigue en suspenso, pues una\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.es\/agencias\/noticia.asp?noticia=1079137\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">audiencia programada para este martes 24 de enero fue suspendida<\/a>\u00a0debido a que uno de los tres jueces se report\u00f3 enfermo, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la agencia de noticias EFE.<\/p>\n<p>La\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elcomercio.com\/politica\/artimana-defensa-Universo-dice-Correa_0_633536663.html\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corte Nacional de Justicia ahora decidir\u00e1 el jueves 26 de enero si ratifica o revoca<\/a>\u00a0una\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/juez-condena-prision-y-pago-de-millonaria-indemnizacion-directivos-de-diario-en-ecuador-por-inj\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">condena a tres a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n y una multa de $40 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/a>\u00a0contra tres directores del peri\u00f3dico as\u00ed como un exeditorialista, de acuerdo con El Comercio. El juicio gira en torno a la columna\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eluniverso.com\/2011\/02\/06\/1\/1363\/mentiras.html\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No a las mentiras<\/a>\u00a0que escribi\u00f3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/periodista-de-ecuador-condenado-prision-se-refugia-en-miami\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emilio Palacio<\/a>, y en la cual calific\u00f3 al presidente de dictador y de cometer cr\u00edmenes de lesa humanidad durante la sublevaci\u00f3n de polic\u00edas del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/bloguero-de-ecuador-advierte-riesgos-de-censura-por-solicitud-de-presidente-de-registrar-30s-co\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30 de septiembre de 2010<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>En su\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/utw10693.utweb.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/%3Ca\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cuenta de Twitter, el presidente Correa<\/a>\u00a0cuestion\u00f3 el martes 24 si el juez enfermo, Luis Enrique Pacheco, sufre problemas de presi\u00f3n alta o \"alta presi\u00f3n\" medi\u00e1tica; y rechaz\u00f3 la oferta del director diario, Carlos P\u00e9rez, de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eluniverso.com\/2012\/01\/24\/1\/1355\/disculpas-cambio-dejar-periodismo-trabaje.html\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">firmar una disculpa<\/a>\u00a0si el mandatario desiste las\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/organismos-internacionales-condenan-sentencia-de-prision-contra-director-de-diario-en-ecuador\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">demandas contra periodistas<\/a>, cumple con la ley de acceso a la informaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica vigente, y permite una consulta a la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos y la ONU sobre el\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/presentan-ley-en-ecuador-que-restringe-diversificacion-economica-medios-de-comunicacion\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proyecto de la Ley de Comunicaci\u00f3n<\/a>, seg\u00fan report\u00f3 El Universo.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras tanto, los hermanos C\u00e9sar y\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/nicolasperez\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nicol\u00e1s P\u00e9rez<\/a>, directores de El Universo,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eluniverso.com\/2012\/01\/23\/1\/1355\/cesar-nicolas-perez-exponen-caso-universo-exterior.html\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">viajaron a Ginebra y Washington D.C. para reunirse con organizaciones internacionales<\/a>\u00a0para explicar el juicio que hay en su contra y solicitar apoyo, de acuerdo con El Universo.
