Durante una entrevista en Espa\u00f1a, el presidente ecuatoriano,\u00a0Rafael Correa, cuestion\u00f3 como se financia a la organizaci\u00f3n no gubernamental Human Rights Watch (HRW)<\/a>, report\u00f3 el diario La Hora. \u00bfUsted sabe como se financia Human Rights Watch, lo financia las hermanitas de Caridad, el cartel de Sinaloa?\", le dijo Correa a la periodista espa\u00f1ola que lo entrevistaba.<\/p>\n

\u201cLamento profundamente que\u00a0el presidente de la Rep\u00fablica de Ecuador caiga en un disparate de esta naturaleza<\/a>\u00a0para intentar da\u00f1ar la credibilidad de la evaluaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica que le hacemos a su Gobierno en materia de libertad de expresi\u00f3n\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el director para las Am\u00e9ricas de HRW, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Vivanco, seg\u00fan report\u00f3 el diario mexicano Vanguardia.\u00a0HRW hab\u00eda criticado a Ecuador<\/a>\u00a0semanas atr\u00e1s por tener una de las peores situaciones de la libertad de expresi\u00f3n en toda la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, el presidente\u00a0Correa denunci\u00f3 que sus comentarios fueron tergiversados<\/a>\u00a0por la televisi\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la Radio Nacional de Venezuela.<\/p>\n
