El jueves 10 de mayo, la tercera y \u00faltima Sala Penal que ve\u00eda el caso del\u00a0asesinato al periodista Alberto Rivera Fern\u00e1ndez<\/a>\u00a0en 2004\u00a0absolvi\u00f3 al ex alcalde<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0Coronel Portillo<\/a>, Luis Valdez Villacorta y a su ex gerente municipal, Zolio Ram\u00edrez Garay, quienes hab\u00edan sido acusados de ser los autores intelectuales del crimen, inform\u00f3 el Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (IPYS).<\/p>\n

La Tercera Sala Penal para Reos Libres de Lima concluy\u00f3 que\u00a0no exist\u00eda suficiente evidencia<\/a>\u00a0que demostrara que el ex alcalde su ex gerente ordenaron la muerte del periodista, report\u00f3 el diario La Rep\u00fablica.<\/p>\n

Carlos Rivera, el abogado que representa a la familia del periodista, dijo que\u00a0apelar\u00e1 la decisi\u00f3n ante la Corte Suprema<\/a>, diciendo que\u00a0el fallo es \u201cuna burla\u201d<\/a>, ya que \u201cdeja impune al crimen m\u00e1s grave cometido contra la prensa peruana<\/a>\u00a0en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os\", reportaron los diarios Per\u00fa21, El Comercio y Correo.<\/p>\n
