{"id":40361,"date":"2014-02-06T21:06:36","date_gmt":"2014-02-07T02:06:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/?p=40361"},"modified":"2021-11-03T21:08:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T02:08:25","slug":"mecanismo-de-proteccion-mexicano-reporta-haber-beneficiado-a-213-durante-el-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamjournalismreview.org\/es\/articles\/mecanismo-de-proteccion-mexicano-reporta-haber-beneficiado-a-213-durante-el-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Mecanismo de protecci\u00f3n mexicano reporta haber beneficiado a 213 durante el 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Por Diego Cruz<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>El\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/diario.mx\/Nacional\/2014-02-06_001a765a\/protegidos-213-periodistas-y-derechohumanistas-por-amenazas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mecanismo de Protecci\u00f3n de Defensores de los Derechos Humanos y Periodistas del gobierno federal mexicano report\u00f3 haber beneficiado a 210 individuos y tres organizaciones no gubernamentales<\/a>\u00a0desde su creaci\u00f3n en noviembre del 2012.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo a funcionarios del gobierno, la mayor\u00eda de las amenazas reportadas fueron por parte de funcionarios estatales y municipales (60%) en lugar de por delincuentes o el crimen organizado (40%). Aunque a algunos de los beneficiados fueron reubicados a otros hogares, inclusive al extranjero, la mayor\u00eda recibi\u00f3 otras medidas de protecci\u00f3n, incluyendo escoltas, telefon\u00eda satelital, vigilancia de domicilios, y medidas de prevenci\u00f3n, report\u00f3 Milenio.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3lo 23 periodistas fueron considerados estar en alto riesgo y dados medidas extraordinarias, y siete de estos fueron desplazados al Distrito Federal y Estados Unidos. Los siete proven\u00edan de estados como Veracruz, Tamaulipas, Durango y Guerrero.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, un n\u00famero desconocido de comunicadores han expresado desconfianza por el mecanismo de protecci\u00f3n y han acudido a otras organizaciones para apoyar su desplazo a Europa y Estados Unidos. Entre estos estuvo la periodista Ver\u00f3nica Basurto Gamero, quien en marzo del 2013 renunci\u00f3 a su trabajo y\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/knightcenter.utexas.edu\/es\/blog\/00-13965-periodista-mexicana-en-exilio-senala-fallas-del-mecanismo-de-proteccion-periodistas-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sali\u00f3 del pa\u00eds despu\u00e9s de dos meses de amenazas a ella y su familia que le hicieron dudar la credibilidad del mecanismo<\/a>.
