A prosecutor in the town of Yapacaní, Santa Cruz, considered intimidating messages against journalist Soledad Prado insufficient to prosecute two people for the crime of issuing threats.
The messages were published on the Facebook page of ‘InfoYapacaní,’ which Prado manages, after the journalist published information regarding the responsibility of some followers of former President Evo Morales in public disturbances.
The journalist, who is also a correspondent for the newspaper El Deber, told the National Press Association (ANP) that she had to relocate because those who wrote the messages knew where she lived.
