“Colombia's Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP, for intials in Spanish), the Electoral Observation Mission and the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters rejected the decision by [Colombia’s public media system], now known as Inravisión, to suspend programming on 20 peace radio stations […].
Instead, the stations were left with music and programming centralized from Bogotá.
The stations were created following the 2016 Peace Agreement to provide information and ‘promote coexistence and reconciliation in areas affected by the conflict.’ Their creation was established as a constitutional mandate and is mandatory.
