“Venezuela's National Press Workers Union (SNTP, by its acronym in Spanish) reported that six journalists and media workers remain subject to judicial proceedings in the country, despite having previously been released.
[…]
The journalists and media workers named are Jonathan Carrillo (1,506 days under judicial proceedings), Carlos Julio Rojas (871 days), Luis López (811 days), Gabriel González (808 days), Carlos Correa (604 days) and Rory Branker (560 days).
According to the SNTP, these media workers are subject to precautionary measures that restrict their freedom of movement and their ability to work, making it impossible to speak of full freedom. The union also raised concerns about dozens of journalists who are abroad, some of them under threat, and called for security guarantees for a possible return to the country.”
