Grants offered to journalists investigating corruption and crime in Latin America

“The Press and Society Institute (IPYS), with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), is opening a call for proposals to finance transnational investigative journalism, aimed at reporters in Latin America.

This initiative seeks to fund original, transnational projects that address issues related to organized crime, political corruption, and abuse of power, thereby contributing to the strengthening of investigative journalism, accountability, and access to high-quality information.

In this edition, four (4) transnational grants will be awarded. Proposals that highlight the impact of organized crime on populations and the generation of extreme violence will be highly valued.”
