“The Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) announces the winners of the 2026 Awards for Excellence in Journalism, which honor media professionals from North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
A jury composed of members of the IAPA Awards Committee selected the winners and honorable mentions in each of the 12 competition categories.
In this edition, the IAPA awarded prizes and honorable mentions for the first time in the category of Journalism with a Gender Equality Perspective, under the sponsorship of the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM).
The official awards ceremony will take place during the IAPA’s 82nd Annual Assembly, to be held October 22–25, 2026, in Bogotá, Colombia”.
