Este \u00edndice era de apenas 4% em 2008. No mesmo per\u00edodo, o n\u00famero de americanos que consome \u00e1udio digital, ou seja, fora do dial AM\/FM, saltou de 21% para 73% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o. Os dados s\u00e3o da mais recente edi\u00e7\u00e3o da pesquisa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edisonresearch.com\/the-infinite-dial-2022\/\">The Infinite Dial<\/a>, da Edison Research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe muitas maneiras, o \u00e1udio costumava ser sin\u00f4nimo de r\u00e1dio. Ent\u00e3o eu acho que \u00e9 isso que as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es de not\u00edcias est\u00e3o aprendendo. (...) Ent\u00e3o as pessoas entendem que tem um ser humano que est\u00e1 produzindo isso para voc\u00ea, e h\u00e1 motivos para elas estarem fazendo as escolhas que fazem. E se pudermos compartilhar e explicar isso, constru\u00edmos confian\u00e7a e conex\u00e3o,\u201d disse Feldberg.<\/p>\n<h3>Nova fronteira do jornalismo em \u00e1udio<\/h3>\n<p>Apesar de o podcast ter se tornado comum em muitas reda\u00e7\u00f5es, uma limita\u00e7\u00e3o inerente ao formato impede que seja usado para veicular not\u00edcias de \u00faltima hora. O consumo por demanda reduz a agilidade de atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o do notici\u00e1rio, ainda mais com assuntos em desenvolvimento.<\/p>\n<p>O podcast rec\u00e9m-lan\u00e7ado <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/therefresh\">The Refresh, da Insider<\/a> usa uma nova tecnologia para superar esta barreira, para oferecer not\u00edcias recentes, como uma r\u00e1dio ao vivo, mas sob demanda. Redes sociais tradicionais tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 lan\u00e7aram servi\u00e7os similares, como o Twitter Spaces e o Facebook Live Audio Rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Estas plataformas servem para ampliar a visibilidade do conte\u00fado jornal\u00edstico e tamb\u00e9m estabelecer conex\u00f5es com fontes, segundo Penman, do Washington Post. Isso ocorreu quando um rep\u00f3rter de tecnologia estava participando de um Twitter Spaces para discutir as revela\u00e7\u00f5es de que o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2021\/oct\/02\/facebook-whistleblower-tech-firms-social-media-instagram-children-mental-health-us-senators\">Facebook sabe que o Instagram \u00e9 t\u00f3xico<\/a> para meninas adolescentes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cE um de nossos rep\u00f3rteres de tecnologia notou que o chefe do Instagram estava ouvindo e disse: \u2018ei, n\u00e3o sei se voc\u00ea quer conversar, mas provavelmente temos algumas perguntas para voc\u00ea\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/2021\/09\/27\/facebook-instagram-kids\/\">Eles realmente deram a not\u00edcia<\/a> em um Twitter Space porque o chefe do Instagram disse ao vivo: \u2018Na verdade, acho que o Instagram para crian\u00e7as \u00e9 uma boa ideia e ainda devemos faz\u00ea-lo. E este foi um projeto que o Facebook havia engavetado'\u201d, disse Penman.<\/p>\n<p>O Clubhouse, que existe h\u00e1 dois anos, viu uma oportunidade no engajamento de jornalistas na plataforma. Tanto que contratou a jornalista Nina Gregory, com mais de 15 anos na NPR, como diretora de Not\u00edcias e Parcerias com a M\u00eddia com o desafio de engajar jornalistas e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es jornal\u00edsticas no Clubhouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPassei muitos anos lendo estudos sobre o que os consumidores de not\u00edcias queriam. Eles queriam que as not\u00edcias se iluminassem e fossem mais profundas. E sinto que fomos capazes de experimentar essas duas coisas\u201d, disse Gregory. \u201c[O p\u00fablico] se torna parte da conversa. Portanto, tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o diferente apenas porque voc\u00ea n\u00e3o est\u00e1 com \u00e1udio linear. Quer seja r\u00e1dio ou podcasting que voc\u00ea est\u00e1 falando, voc\u00ea n\u00e3o est\u00e1 falando. Ent\u00e3o eu acho que assim como voc\u00ea teria uma conversa normal com uma pessoa, eles s\u00e3o mais como uma pessoa humana normal.
