"From Jan. 20 to 23, the weekly magazine ZETA's website was the target of a Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber attack, orchestrated by unknown individuals in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
The objective of DDoS attacks is to overload the digital infrastructure of a website, for example by making countless access requests, in order to overload the web page's structure, effectively limiting access to the page.
According to documentation by ARTICLE 19, on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 20, the media outlet registered a massive digital attack in an attempt to take down the weekly's website: www.zetatijuana.com. Although the site was immediately protected, it presented some limitations for a few hours."
