Editor of Mexican news website found dead at home

"Josué Othoniel Alejandre Gaytán, editor and founder of online news outlet NDI Noticias de Isla y la Zona Piñera Veracruzana, was found dead in his home in the town of Isla, in the state of Veracruz.

His death was confirmed by the State Commission for the Care and Protection of Journalists (CEAPP for its initials in Spanish). The commission also confirmed Alejandre Gaytán had reported threats against him.

The cause of death remains unknown, as authorities have not provided details on how he was found. However, it has been confirmed he was found at his home.

Alejandre Gaytán also worked as a communications consultant and press liaison for the town government of Santiago Sochiapan."
