“Representatives of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) will visit Peru next week to investigate and document constant and severe threats to freedom of expression and press freedom by the government.
The IAPA decided to send officials following an invitation from the Peruvian Press Council.
According to the organization's biannual reports, freedom of expression and press freedom are under siege in Peru by the three branches of government, as well as the Attorney General's Office, regional governments and other governmental entities.”
