"The alleged perpetrator of the murder of Gastón Medina, a well-known Peruvian journalist in the southern region of Ica, was arrested this Friday [May 16] by agents of the Peruvian National Police (PNP, by its acronym in Spanish) and members of the Public Prosecutor's Office, official sources reported.
Members of the security forces raided a house and arrested a man identified as Pablo Echeverría, who is accused of being the alleged perpetrator of the murder […]. Medina, owner and director of local media outlet Cadena Sur TV, was killed on Jan. 20 at the door of his home in the city of Ica, after having previously denounced extortionists, as reported at the time by the National Association of Journalists (ANP).
