"Miguel Henrique Otero, publisher and editor of El Nacional of Venezuela, reiterated this Thursday, June 5, his accusation against the telecommunications company Telefónica for censorship and repression of freedom of expression in Venezuela.
Otero, who is in exile, said that both the company and its president collaborated directly with Nicolás Maduro's regime to allow the blocking of the media outlet's website.
'There is no difference between those who order censorship and those who carry it out. Telefónica and the regime established in Venezuela are responsible for the same crime against freedom of expression, regardless of where it occurs or who allows it,' he said in a publication from the media outlet on Instagram."
