"The digital newspaper of the Honduran Armed Forces (FFAA, for its acronym in Spanish) published an image of journalist Rodrigo Wong Arévalo [director of Abriendo Brecha and TEN Canal 10] labeling him a 'liar and traitor to the country.'
The military institution's description came after the journalist commented that the maritime incident that occurred between Sept. 24 and 25, 2025, involving a Salvadoran vessel crossing Honduran waters without authorization, ‘was due to an error in the ship's command’ and suggested removing the description of ‘invasion’ that some FFAA authorities gave to the maritime incident.
The Honduran Armed Forces assert that these statements support the interests of another country at a time of regional tension and that the Honduran journalist's attitude can be considered a betrayal of his patriotic duty."
