"The amparo proceeding is a consequence of the refusal of the Special Prosecutor's Office for Attention to Crimes Committed Against Freedom of Expression (FEADLE, for its acronym in Spanish) to recognize Proceso magazine as a victim in the Preliminary Inquiry 034 / FEADLE / 2012, which is being investigated for the murder of journalist Regina Martínez Pérez. Propuesta Cívica and Reporters Without Borders reiterate their commitment to Proceso magazine to continue serving the Regina Martínez case until justice and truth are achieved."
