"Journalist Reinaldo Galhardo gave a statement this Thursday (Aug. 12, 2021), at the station of the 2nd Police District of Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, about the aggressions he suffered in a demonstration in favor of President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) and for the printed vote. The owner of site Station News Sorocabahad his work equipment damaged by a supporter during the demonstration on Sunday (Aug. 1, 2021) (...) When reacting to the attacks, the journalist claims that he was restrained by one of the organizers of the demonstration, promoted by the Conservative Movement of Sorocaba (...) Reinaldo Galhardo did not use, however, a badge or credential during the mobilization.
For using a red cell phone, he was called “PT” [Workers' Party] by a protester before being violently approached by the attackers. That's when he decided to start recording the aggression."
