“President Jair Bolsonaro and his sons in public office, such as councilor Carlos Bolsonaro, senator Flávio Bolsonaro and also Eduardo Bolsonaro, have made at least one attack on media outlets per day from January 2021 to May 2022.
The survey carried out by the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) examined 14,918 tweets and retweets made by the family in order to uncover patterns in their offensives against press freedom in Brazil.
Attacks, criticism and attempts to discredit were found in 73 percent of tweets in which members of the Bolsonaro family mentioned newspapers, journalists or the press in general."
