"CNN Brazil fired on Thur. Dec. 1 more than 120 professionals, including anchors, reporters and analysts. In addition to the layoffs, the network also closed its branch in Rio de Janeiro. The São Paulo and Brasília branches will continue to operate. [...] Poder360 found out that CNN Brazil is trying to reach the break even point, that is, for revenues to equal its expenses. In 2022, expenses were twice as much as revenues. CNN's goal, in addition to a break even point, is to keep the number of employees below 600.
