"Guatemalan community journalist, Eduardo Fernando Mendizabal Gálvez, was murdered on the outskirts of Guatemala City this Saturday [March 18], according to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Mendizabal Gálvez died in a hospital after being attacked with a firearm while driving in his vehicle in the municipality of Villa Canales, on the outskirts of Guatemala City, according to information released Monday [March 20] by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The journalist was the creator of the news outlet Visor de Villa Canales, where he shared local news and advertisements."
