After her release, Tanis was taken to a hospital. She was beaten by her captors to force her relatives to pay, according to local media.
The co-host of the program "Tribune Matinale [Morning tribune]" belonging to Radio Rénovation FM, was kidnapped when she was entering her house in the neighborhood of Delmas, in Port-au-Prince (capital of Haiti), last July 21."
