"Cuban journalist Carlos Michael Morales Rodríguez has been on a hunger strike for one week, detained in the Provincial Investigation Center of Villa Clara under accusations of attacks and disobedience.
The Cuban Observatory for Human Rights (OCDH, for its acronym in Spanish) launched this Thursday [May 16] an alert for the life of the former political prisoner, who decided to go on strike as a form of protest against his imprisonment.
Morales was arrested at the beginning of May, after months of harassment against him."
