Jorge Valencia is the assistant editor of the LatAm Journalism Review. He's based in Bogotá and previously covered Latin America from Mexico City for public radio stations in the United States. A 2023 fellow with the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University, he has also reported from Arizona, North Carolina and Virginia. He grew up in downtown Bogotá, Colombia, and the suburbs of Washington D.C.
