Dominican journalists denounce death threats

By Ingrid Bachmann

The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP) and the Dominican Guild of Journalists (CDP) denounced the death threats and aggression against several journalists in the towns of Nagua, Montecristi and San Juan, reported Diario Digital.

The journalists threatened or assaulted were Francis Frías, Raymond González, Eduardo Castellanos, Belly Reyes Molina, Alfredo del Valle, and photographer Ganni Bonilla Almonte, added Hoy.

The attacks were linked to politicians, security forces, and the bodyguards of a businessman. The journalistic groups have called for those responsible to be brought to justice.
