Federal police announced the arrest of suspected gang members who allegedly kidnapped three TV journalists in northern Mexico last week, The Associated Press reports.

A fourth reporter, Oscar Solis, who worked for a local newspaper was kidnapped on the same day, but it appears that his abduction was an independent case, EFE explains. Authorities told EFE that the three suspects were not charged with kidnapping Solis. All four reporters have since been rescued or released.

The accused kidnappers were described by CNN as a drug-selling logistics chief, his second in command, and an underling who guarded the abductees.
