Twelve women journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean were named by our community of readers and journalists as part of the #JournoHeroes campaign organized by the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF). For the month of October, accolades from fellow journalists were published on our site and social networks .
From Cuba to Brazil to Ecuador, these professionals report on femicides, uncover corruption, tackle the health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, expose human rights violations and more. Their work inspires colleagues to do the same.
