"At least 44 Honduran journalists have requested protection measures for fear of losing their lives.
From 2001 to September 2020, 87 Honduran journalists have died after receiving death threats in the country, and of these there are around six prosecuted cases. For this year, three journalists have already died despite the pandemic, said Carlos Ortiz, president of the Honduran Press Association (APH, for its initials in Spanish)."
