"The Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) celebrated 20 years of operation on Dec.7, 2022. Theirs is a history that combines changes in newsrooms and universities, in the business model and in the ways of doing journalism, with advances and setbacks in the profession, the consolidation of independent media and the trajectory of a journalism that guided the great transformations of the country.
The anniversary was celebrated with the premiere of the online documentary 'Abraji 20 years: from Tim Lopes to Dom Phillips.' Written, directed and edited by Diego de Godoy and 46 minutes long, the documentary was made during the last edition of the International Congress of Investigative Journalism, in August 2022, at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, in São Paulo".
