"Adela Navarro, general director of the weekly ZETA Tijuana, has received at least eight threats against her, allegedly due to her journalistic work, between April 29 and May 16. Organizations have called for authorities to investigate and condemned the violent acts against her.
Article 19, in its offices for Mexico and Central America, said the journalist has received at least eight calls in which a voice is heard saying, 'Tell Adela Navarro to take care of herself,' and then the caller hangs up.
The weekly ZETA Tijuana is recognized for its coverage of politics and drug trafficking, being the first to report the arrest of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada on July 25 of last year."
