"In the ruling of the judicial reform project, the ruling party included a clause, promoted by senator Oscar Parrilli, that forces judges to denounce the pressures 'of the media powers.' In view of this, the Asociación de Entidades Periodísticas Argentinas (Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities, or Adepa) considered that it was aimed at 'favoring self-censorship, inhibiting journalistic scrutiny and weakening a vigorous public debate on issues of institutional interest, such as the administration of Justice and the functioning of one of the powers of the State.'"
