"The National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT, by its Spanish acronym) announces the sixth edition of the MERCOSUR Science Dissemination and Journalism Award with the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), as an initiative of the MERCOSUR Specialized Meeting on Science and Technology (RECYT). This call is aimed at professionals and students of journalism and related careers, photography professionals, as well as researchers and amateur disseminators of the different areas of science, belonging to the member and associate countries of MERCOSUR.

The first place in each category will be awarded and recognition will be given to second and third place. The professional category will be awarded Gs 7,000,000 (US $965), the junior category will receive Gs 5,000,000 (US $690), the photographic category will receive Gs 5,000,000 (US $690), and finally the social networks category will receive Gs 5,000,000 (US $690).
The works may be applied for through CONACYT's Instrument Application System (SPI) until 4:00 p.m. on September 29, 2023."
