The State of Journalism 2025 survey, conducted by media and public relations firm Muck Rack, is now open for submissions. Journalists from all disciplines — reporters, editors, freelancers and independents — are invited to contribute their experiences to help map what’s working, what’s changing and what’s next for journalism.
The survey takes between 12 and 15 minutes to complete and covers topics such as the use of social media, tools and technologies, media relations and current challenges facing the profession. Most questions are optional, and responses are confidential and analyzed in aggregate.
Those who participate will have early access to the final report, packed with data and insights into the current media landscape.
