"In the time that Javier Milei has been in office, four out of 10 aggressions to the press have had the president or his ministers as main characters, according to the data of the survey carried out by the Freedom of Expression Monitoring of the Argentine Journalism Forum (FOPEA, for its Spanish acronym).

The figure summarizes the dynamics of the relationship between the new head of state and the press: Milei regularly disqualifies, insults, accuses and verbally attacks journalists and the media in his speeches or in the interviews he gives.

During this time, most journalists had limited and restricted access to the National Executive Branch and, many of them, suffered direct aggressions that were later replicated by followers and militants of the President, on social media and even in the streets."
