"Shortly before receiving the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, at the Casa Rosada, [Argentina President] Javier Milei once again criticized journalists through a long post on social media, where he highlighted the role of technology in putting an end to what he called a 'monopoly of the word.'
He did so through a lengthy post on X, where he pointed to 'the criminals of the microphone' for having 'lied, slandered, insulted and even committed crimes of extortion.'
'Thanks to social media, the caste privilege that you have had for so long and that you have exercised with such violence has come to an end. Therefore, accept that the world has changed for the better and that your monopoly on speech has come to an end,' he said."
