“Journalist associations in [the Mexican state of] Guerrero reported that their colleague Luis Daniel Nava, contributor to the magazine Proceso and reporter for the El Sur de Guerrero newspaper, was the victim of an apparent assault by two men dressed in black tactical clothing, with long weapons and military appearance, who allegedly threatened him by saying: ‘We already know what you do!’
In a statement dated Sunday [Nov. 10] in Chilpancingo, capital city of Guerrero, the associations added that, before the robbery, the assailants told Nava ‘that they already know what he works in and what he does for a living, which worries us because it is a direct intimidating action that puts his physical and emotional integrity at risk.’
