"As part of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, the organization Article 19 demanded justice for the 156 journalists murdered in Mexico in the last 22 years. Of those, Guerrero ranks second among the states of the country with more journalists murdered and, according to their tally, 17 journalists have been killed in that state.
This Wed. Nov. 2, Article 19 (an organization that documents attacks on freedom of expression), launched a campaign to demand an end to impunity in Mexico for crimes committed against journalists.
In its campaign, Article 19 argued that 'being a journalist is a job in which you risk your life every day. When we think of risky professions, those in which you risk your life come to mind: firefighters, soldiers, rescuers, moles, policemen. Many, except journalism."
