"The Association of Journalists of El Salvador (APES, for its initials in Spanish) issued a statement on Monday, June 9, in which it denounced a possible plan by the Salvadoran government to detain journalists of the digital news outlet El Faro.
According to the statement, the journalists canceled return flights from Costa Rica to El Salvador after receiving alerts that some of them would be detained upon arriving in the country."
