The journalist for the state radio station Patria Nueva, Jeruslava Ojeda, suffered verbal and physical attacks while covering an incident at the doors of the Departmental Chamber of Small-Scale Industry [in Santa Cruz]. The National Press Association (ANP), as it has in all cases of aggression against journalists, denounced the violence against this communicator. According to a report by the newspaper El Deber, a group of people protested at the doors of the business organization rejecting the announcement of the alleged arrival to this locale of former president Evo Morales and the president of the Senate, Andrónico Rodríguez.

El Deber described as a "reprehensible excess" the aggression of protesters against journalist Ojeda, who was recording the incident with a tape recorder. "The communicator was recording the demonstration, but when they identified her as for pro-government media (worker), those mobilized attacked her."
