"Bolivian journalistic organizations unanimously rejected the request of the State Attorney General, Wilfredo Chávez, to lift source secrecy on the dissemination of a report by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) having to do with extrajudicial executions in the Las Américas hotel, in April 2009. The National Press Association (ANP, by its Spanish acronym), which represents the main Bolivian newspapers, rejected the fourth petition known in 2022, even more so when the requests come from judges, prosecutors, and in this case an authority who swore to respect the Political Constitution of the State (CPE)."
