Bolivian journalist asks senator to prove accusations against him regarding alleged government payments

“Fides radio journalist, Jhon Arandia, invited [Bolivian] Senator Patricia Arce to prove the accusation that he received payments from the government, and questioned the legislator's alleged cooperation with an applicant during an exam for the preselection of magistrates.

The senator and lawyer who represents the Movement towards Socialism (MAS, for its acronym in Spanish) of the bloc led by former President Evo Morales, was recorded on video images and her gesticulation during an oral examination to magistrates of the Judicial Branch was interpreted as cooperation with a candidate.

'...For a long time now the only thing Arandia has done is defame, be cruel to people. I'm not worried because he's controlled and paid for by the government...', Arce said after the dissemination of the images and the criticism questioning the transparency of the pre-selection process."
