"The National Association of Journalists of Bolivia (ANPB, for its initials in Spanish) and the country's nine departmental journalists' associations condemned the threats and intimidation directed at several Bolivian media outlets by representatives of the self-proclaimed State of Kailasa.
[...]
'The demand for retractions, content removal and public apologies from the fictitious State of Kailasa not only violates the principles of transparency and the right to information, but also constitutes an unacceptable intimidation strategy,' the association said in a statement on the matter.
The journalists' associations claimed that the information about the irregular agreements between Bolivian Indigenous groups and Kailasa was provided according to the principles of verification, rigor and adherence to the truth, supported by documented sources and direct testimony."
