Brazilian research looks into mental health of journalists post-pandemic and post-labor reform

"The Jorge Duprat Figueiredo Foundation for Occupational Safety and Medicine (Fundacentro, for its acronym in Portuguese) and the National Federation of Journalists (Fenaj) launched this Tuesday (April 9) the national survey on the mental health of journalists. The project has support from the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT).

The objective is to identify the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the new arrangements following the 2017 labor 'reform.' From 2019 to 2022, the government of Jair Bolsonaro launched direct attacks on the profession, especially on women. And on those who work for large communication companies, newspapers, TVs and websites, with actions having consequences on the mental health of the profession across the country."
