"Caleth Jesús Gutiérrez, son of journalist Jesús Gutiérrez, who was murdered in 2023, reported that his three siblings were assaulted by members of the army who barged into their home in Sonora in northern Mexico.
In an interview with Azucena Uresti, Caleth said he will file a complaint over the violent intrusion. The assault occurred despite the family being under a mechanism to protect journalists following their father’s murder.
As they were about to close the gate to their home, soldiers stopped them, several officers got out of a vehicle, forcibly entered, forced them to the ground, and held them at gunpoint."
