"Today [Oct. 16], the Fourth Oral Criminal Trial Court of Santiago convicted Marcelo Enrique Naranjo Naranjo, as the author of the crimes of simple homicide, illegal possession of a firearm and unjustified shooting on public roads, crimes perpetrated on May 1, 2022, in the center of Santiago and that cost the life of the reporter from Channel 3 of La Victoria, Francisca Sandoval.
The public prosecutor's office requested 30 years in prison for the three crimes in which Naranjo was found guilty, but the final sentence will be determined by the court during the reading of the sentence next week."
