"This Mon. Oct. 3, the judge of the 4th Oral Trial Court, Geni Morales, issued an official notice demanding TVN to reveal the sources used in a story on the 'Pacogate,' that is, an [alleged] fraud within [the Chilean police agency] Carabineros.
The investigation was broadcasted in detail in the program Informe Especial on Sept. 28th of this year. It reported on the crimes of embezzlement of public funds, illicit association, document forgery, and money laundering within the military police.
In this context, Judge Geni Morales demanded TVN to reveal 'how and when it obtained access to the supporting evidence contained in the investigative file, which was shown during the broadcast story.'"
