Senior officer Jorge Sanzana was formally charged on April 16 in Santiago’s Eighth Court of Guarantee. The charges stem from the unlawful use of a water cannon vehicle during a protest in Balmaceda Park, which struck Sandoval violently from behind while she was documenting the police operation for the independent outlet Piensa Prensa."
