CLIP and Núcelo promote new training to investigate Big Tech

News organizations CLIP and Núcleo Jornalismo invite applications for the second edition of the Big Tech Investigation Lab workshop, which takes place at Harmony Hotel in Nosara, Costa Rica, from Sept. 8 to 12, 2025. All travel, accommodation and meal costs from the participants will be covered by the initiative.

Tailored for up to 12 leading journalists from Latin America, this high-level workshop will focus on providing participants with the insights and skills necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving tech landscape. There will be thoughtful discussions on emerging technologies, ethical journalism practices and strategies for effectively covering tech trends relevant to Latin America.

To apply, journalists must be based in Latin America and as most of the training will be made in English, fluency or working knowledge in this language is necessary. Also, journalists need to have a minimum of five years of proven experience working in the field and have an organization that will vouch for their work.
